It still works well but I always wondered if there was 'preventive maintenance' I could do to keep the compression up. I outfittd mine with a peep sight. Wonderfully accurate little gun.
Found the hole on the compression tube. I'll give it a drop or two of oil.
One other thing to keep in mind with pumpers, ALWAYS store them with some pressure in the tube, 2 or 3 pumps is plenty. Other than that, a drop of oil now and then, here and there. One other thing, NEVER use firearm cleaning solvents on airguns, it'll eat the seals. IF you need to clean the barrel, use a pull through like the Otis, patches only, and a mild cleaner like Goo Gone. They only need cleaning when the accuracy starts dropping off, and that's usually after hundreds, if not thousands, of pellets. Later.

Sheridan Blue Streak No Serial Number

Most of the comments I’ve seen about the Sheridan Blue Streak have been about the pump rifle. I got my Blue Streak in 1977 but it is a CO2 version. After about 10 to 15 years of closet duty, I tried it out on July 4,2007 and like it’s nameit shot up a blue streak. The sights and bolt action were working like it was new. Benjamin & Sheridan Product Dates of Manufacture. If your gun was manufactured in or after the year 1992 then the first 3 or 4 digits of the serial number will allow you to determine when your gun was manufactured. If the first 3 or 4 digits of your serial number are 1294 or D94, then your gun was made in December of 1994.
